Oh for a bed for the homeless God Bless+ Priest Canon Fthr ALAN SHARPE who always sees to this

THE GREATEST PRIEST EVER FOR ALL
Oh for a bed for the homeless
It' s the place some haven't got
With prices gone sky high
Four walls and somewhere to lay your head
A pillow and a bed
-
To be woken with a cup of tea
Someone to chat over this and that
To cook in the kitchen and have a go
When washing they put through
And everything comes out all blue
-
Whatever goes wrong and you're together
It's a roof over your head
A hot meal , laughter and out of the weather
-
Fthr. ALAN SHARPE has done over 23 years
Even had H.M.The Queen came to St.Patricks
And there's plaque, been put up on the wall
And won The Hero of The year 2oo5
Never stops from morning, noon and night
Make sure every one is all right.
Every one I've met and all he's helped and known
Think he should be Knighted by H.M.The Queen
Everything is done by prayer, and he says,
Pick yourself up,dust yourself down, and start all over again

OH RUBY LOVE

Oh Ruby Love the pipes, the pipes were calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying
Tis you, tis you must go and I must bide.

But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
Yes. I'll be there? in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Ruby Love, Oh Ruby Love I miss you so.
Your favourite song Oh Danny Boy.
Ill Sing again one day for you in Church.

ANGEL FACE

WHILE WAITING FOR FRIENDS IN BORDERS, WAITING FOR COFFEE I
SAW IN A BOOK THIS LOVELY SHAWL SO MADE QUICK POEM UP

As I look into your beautiful face
The colours of your shawl lit up the human race
The big brown eyes staring at me
Maybe your thoughts are wandering out to sea
Of a loved one coming home to you

The delicate make up and the purt nose
No one knows where you have come from
Looking like a mystic rose

Or maybe you made the shawl
The pinks and mauves that are interwoven
But chosen them to match the flowers in the garden.
Dear Ruby Carey My Friend. (Dcd. 01/12/2007)

THE VERY THOUGHT OF YOU
And I forget to do
Those ordinary things
Everyone?ought to do

I’m living in a kind of day dream
I’m not as happy as a King
And foolish as it may seem to me
You were my everything

The mere idea of you
The longing here for you,
You’ll never know how slow?
The moments go till when I was with you

I see your face in every flower
Your eyes in skies above.
It’s just the thought of you.
The very thoughts of you, my love.

May God +let you R.I.P
Ruby with the lovely blue eyes, and smile.
My Friend forever.xxx
The Horses were out of this world and so peaceful
Outside St.Peters Church.

I CANNOT TELL
The Hymn To The Tune of “ Oh Danny Boy”

I cannot tell how he whom angels worship
Should stoop to love the peoples of the earth
Or why as shepherd he should seek the wand’rer
With his mysterious promise of new birth.
But this I know that he was born of Mary
When Bethl’ems manger was his only home
And that he lived at Nazareth and laboured
And so the Saviour. Saviour of the world is come.

I cannot tell how silently he suffered
As with his peace he graced this place of tears
Or now his heart upon the cross was broken
the crown of pain to three and thirty years.
But this I know, he heals the broken-hearted
And stays our sin, and calms our lurking fear
And lifts the burden from the heavy laden
For yet the Saviour . Saviour of the world’s nere

I cannot tell how he will win the nations
How he will claim is early heritage
how satisfy the needs and aspirations
of east and west, of sinner and of sage.
But this I know all flesh shall see his glory
God Bless+

When A Child Is Born

A Ray of hope flickers in the sky,
A tiny star lights up way up high,
All across the land dawns a brand new morn,
This comes to pass when a child is born.

A silent dawn settles all around,
You got the feel you’re on solid ground,
For spell or to no one seems for-lorn,
This comes to pass when a child is born
It’s all a born. This come to pass when a child is born

Wish sails the seven seas,
The winds of change whisper in the tree,
And the walls of doubt crum-ble tossed and torn,
This comes to pass when a child is born
A rosy dream, an illusion now,
It must come true some-time soon some how,
All across the land dawns a brand new morn,
This comes to pass when a child is born.

My Kangaroo TRUE

I made and sent my Kangaroo to mum's little girl in Australia but its tail so large after stuffing the toy it wouldnt go in box, so put it inside, the little girl called it Skippyl, the little girl was thrilled when the Kangaroo arrived and showed it to her mother, Oh she said the Tail is inside and instructions how to sew on.
Her Mother did this, and Jane went to her bedroom screaming with delight and bouncing it up and down . Night time came put it looking out of the window .Next day they all went for a picnic and Jane took Skippy with them they all loved it, where did it come from Mummies friend in England she said it skipped all these miles over to me that's why I called it Skippy. But Jane noticed a Baby in pouch and called it Soosh shoosh, and she said its asleep in the pouch, but had to be fed later, she really treated it as if it was real they all had a wonderful day..

My Sunshine

Here comes my sunshine
On her wedding day
Father Alan will say
Come in and pray
And bless them in a special way
-
When the bride comes out smiling
And groom stands up straight
A person is twirling an umbrella at the gate
-
The photographers followed them everywhere
A big brass band with a blare
No-one seemed to have a care
-
Some in peculiar dress, there was
one of a Cat with a mouse on his head
And one with a car as a bed
Another a clown with a carrot for a nose
-
Onto the beach the sand was twirling around
The couple holding hands
And true love was found.

GREEN EYES

THERE IS A LOVELY BLACK CAT UP OUR ROAD
WITH A BEAUTIFUL SHINY COAT

I CALL HIM BY HIS NAME “JAZZ”
AND HE RUNS DOWN AND CRIES
ROLLS OVER IN THE SUN

HIS LOVELY GREEN EYES SHINING AT ME
AS I STROKE AND TALK TO HIM

HE LOVES TO SIT ON TOP THE CARS
TO KEEP WARM IN WINTER
EVERYONE ADORES THIS CAT

HE JUMPS DOWN OFF THE WALL INTO OUR GARDEN
SITS ON AN OLD TABLE
AND WATCHES ME HANG OUT THE WASHING

THIS CAT IS SPECIAL THERAPY TO ALL PASSING BY
AS YOUNG AND OLD, AND CHILDREN TOO
BEND LOW AND TALK TO HIM
FORGETTING THEIR WORRIES AND TROUBLES
JUST FOR A MINUTE AND OFF THEY ALL GO

Humpty Dumpty Not True.

Dumpty was always tubby at school, and couldnt run or jump, but was tip-top at all subjects, the girls made him climb the apparatus ladder and he thought he would fall,he would try to sit on the top, there eating his crisps so no-one could see him,and loved to blow his cheeks out at the girls, with his mouth full, the teachers had their backs turned away from them when this happened. One day he started to cut down on starchy foods, lost weight tremendously his trousers nearly fell off , he tightened his belt.So started going for walks more now and not so tired over the downs, came to a sign Sweet Hill ,oh no he thought I must not eat sweets, and he remembered,he hadnt got any good clothing with him,he climbed a style and could see in the distance a little pub,and made his way down the hill and got a glass of coke, and sat in a chair, and fell asleep as the Sun was going down in a world of his own, when awake he was refreshed to walk and run home..

The Emerald Stone " Imagination"

Description of box it was once in.A Mother and little girl always wanted to find, was a 3 D. cover with the middle cut out of the box, they remembered before it was taken of secret space in a garden shed, had yellow and black edging, with ribbons on the side of its gold ridges. So off set the mother and daughter,on a bright sunny day, little girl wearing lovely pink frilly dress. They crossed rivers, and boarded boats, and planes, even climbed mountains,to get to this Cathedral
someone visiting heard another one say, they read a book on it.They got inside the Cathedral and were directed to the Alcoves ,all dusty and dirty, cobwebs in the corners and flags hanging down, as they looked up, the steep stairs into the dark, there was an owl, and shining like a diamond and twinkling like a prism all sides, was the Emerald Stone, true the Mother had sat and prayed to find it.The little girl her dress all dirty, shouted Mummy I cant reach it,but along came the Priest holding his crook out ,hooked it round the emerald stone,as they had proof it was once handed down in the family. The child kept saying please please I know where I've seen it before,my father gave it to my mother way back and I took it out to play. The parents were so sad and knew nothing about all this.Until they read a book with a yellow and black cover called,Dreams Come True ,and the possibilty of tracing it.So they were allowed to have the emerald stone, and carry it all the way back home safely,Over hills and dales and rivers by planes and boats etc. When they got in exhausted and very excited, took of their coats and washed and sat down for tea,the father was getting so worried, but when they put the emerald stone safely away, and told him the story, especiallyof the owl that went too-wit-a-woo,and turned his head at The Cathedral,he had to laugh at such an adventurous story, first brought about by their mother's prayers.

PEACE

The peace of God that passes all understanding
Fthr.Alan Sharpe St.Patricks teaches us you see
Come in quietly and sit and pray
For the sick, lonely homeless each day
Someone no roof or food
To listen help is good
No one knows when there be homeless to-day.
Young,or old silver and grey.
Let us all join hands in love
No matter what colour or creed
And some turn their life around with God you see.

The Atmosphere

Stars exploding in the skies
And I thought I wonder why
Drops of dew falling on the earth
Everything making a new birth
-
The golden sun shining on the sea
People in hats,and long dresses
Looking for their keys
Ice-cream dropping from their knees
-
An old man goes by with a wink in his eye
Raises his hat.
Newspapers are blowing along
A bandsman playing a song
-
Chairoplanes riding high
Children having to queue,and cry
A drunk comes out from a pub
Can you spare some change for grub.
-
People are coming to talk to me from all sides
My umbrella's blown inside out.
I must go my head's in a spin,
Our writing group is about to begin.

The Carpenter Fiction.

Woody was his nicname because he was a carpenter who bodged up some D.I.Y jobs He made his daughter a dolls cot and fell to bits and a chest of drawers the drawers wouldn't fit. It was a blastering wind, the hats blowing of peoples heads, icecream dropping on ground, books and papers fluttering. Children tring to button coats up, Woody had his tools with him and a saw, went into the music hall their long dresses torn by the wind and top hats didn't fit Red faces everywhere, so woody set up his tressle and planes, put on the electric saw, a fire was on to keep warm, he for got his hands bit damp, sudden bang and a fire broke out, glass and windows broken Cast practising all shaking up. Woody so sorry they all cleared up. Woody went home not thinking straight, as he pulled up in his car all the lights sparkling in the house, funny I switched them of so he thought, as he climbed the stairs the curtains were alight, he had left a plug in fused caused a fire. Had to call the fire brigade, he tried with water no good. The lesson he learnt was go back to night school and learn to be a proficient carpenter.

Umbrellas.

Out come the umbrellas again all colours and shapes
Big and shiny, some are broken in the wind and rain
In comes the cat standing on his brain.
-
Flowers worms, Frogs, boots and birds,
Wellingtons, jackets with hoods waterproof,
Water tubs filling up, and leaky shoes.
-
Two have just done the garden for me
Covered in muck and mud weeding
Called out more coffee? and had to put
Plastic bags on their feet to come in
-
There's our lost green frog they've found
Oh hide it quick the cats around.
-
The pink blossom is by the line
I do wish the pouring rain would stop, and be fine
-
Oh there's a blue-tit with a worm in its mouth
They dug and hoed and no regrets
They're both thrilled the gardens worth all the sweat .

The Snowman

I'm going to make a snowman,or at least try
With a scarf, hat and a pipe.
-
He will stand in the garden for all the children to see
But is he winking his eye at me?
-
His arms go up and wrap around him tight
To keep him warm through the night.
-
And as the birds are flying away,
I know the air is getting warmer,
And the snowman will melt away
-
The children have brought a camera
And taken photos too,
But you can all make a snowman
And maybe give it shoes
-
Do come and tell him your wishes
And hope it will snow another year,
Maybe ,put buttons on him,
That light up in different colours
Like Brighton Pier.

EXCITING THINGS AGAINST ALL ADVERSITIES

First let me thank Fthr. ALAN SHARPE of Hove,Sussex for all I have achieved. He took my belated mother’s funeral when she died in 2004, showing care and consideration and phoned morning of the hours leading up to it.
He phones me if I’m not well, occasionally takes me home, and offers encouragement in everything I do and there in all adversities for me. Words like Traumatised Violation. But from my Head to my Toes what Fthr Alan Sharpe's done for me.
. He gave me full support whilst my Mum was in a nursing home in Haywards Heath where I visited her on numerous occasions.and hadn’t been out B/ton over 3O years says what god wants you to do,and I did about 9 times. FTHR Alan is worth all the Money in the world for Homeless. and anyone does not have to book in to see him, he is there for you. and all.
Fthr Alan took me to Kent, plus 3 others.Best Book is HOLY BIBLE .Sometimes only a Priest can help you when all things have failed medically . and therapies not from God. I had to try and hubby pay for.and take me.
Mum sang a bit in her younger years and still enjoyed her ‘audience’. In 1995 she persuaded me to join her as an extra in Noel Coward’s “Cavalcade”at The Theatre Royal B/ton. I couldn't do much in those days. or go and also hearing aid. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and got to meet the stars of the show , Gabriel Drake and Jeremy Clyde getting photos and an autographed programme. I have by Stars, over 55 signed.and T.Shirt signed Jeremy Clyde and others wow.

I started to attend various local groups , one a writing group where I started to write poetry .try at 1st base centre run by Dominque de-light. taught us..
Never ever done apart from religous one at first. Came to me at Our Lady Of Walsingham Holy Shrine and Annointing and Holy water, much later years could do , friend relation going pray brain damage child in holy house and did not, my voice came out suddenly so I knelt and prayed. praying virgin mary overwhelmed praising saying thankyou. overwhelmed by it all, as I can now.
couple of my poems were accepted by a publishing company came by post never heard of, ‘United Press Ltd’ . This involved some costs of which , being a pensioner . I could ill afford. Robert Jarvis , our music composer advisor to our ‘Street Elders’ group suggested a googlemail website and my husband Ray set it up for me Easter 2007 so now have unlimited space for my writing.

We ,The Street Elders , performed song and dance in the 2006 Brighton Festival. Also around the same time I joined the ‘Age Friendly’ group all giving singing performances to sheltered homes.and few friends, it finished and no where without costs to practice. All groups did CD .lovely of us.
.Once Mum and I belonged to Third Age group at Connaught Hove.Collettes Group Age Concern,Fringe Festival, and Groups
Hove Town Hall for over 5Os join..
Robert Jarvis Professional Music Composer Sounds and Installations, and Trombonists,at Komedia Brighton, all treated same, wonderful ,piece done called Feel Write.

Birthday 6/9/38.same day Princess Diana buried, I was collector of things about her and photos, Thimble Jenny gave me.
I have Mug, record, books. My birthday I fixed up and celebrated couple friends, at BHS Lounge and Coffee Bar, B/ton, Churchill Square, and had lovely cream fairy cakes and pots tea, few photos Taken before going home, and managed get small photo of glorious sun set going down like a ball of fire, as it was going down fast and someone else, I asked what taking photos of glorious sun set western road Brighton . I do like to go Brighton Pier couple friends karaoke Horatios Bar/Glitter Bar. Mum loved red and danced and sung their not bad 8O. and all young ones loved her.
There's a bit in Argus Archives, I see long way back re making Rug, I worked.
.
Robert Jarvis told me of googlemail. My Ray said buy £1 Folder and mark my poems up and short stories,so I have. The Rug I made was 3ftx3ft mothers adopted aunt, I worked from photo sent away then send Rug Wool from Yorkshire, cant think name, I gave relation as no where to keep before ,Mum died. Thats why I love Victorian dolls, hired ball gown once etc, and have patterns, cards, pictures, costumes. Etc.

We usually celebrate birthday at church with cake and wine spiritual thing every year I love . I adore Royal Pavilion Brighton , our wonderful daughter and son in law married their 2OO2, wonderful, and lovely Queens Hotel Brighton reception. Fthr Alan gave me a blessing take for the day for them, as Registry Wedding. Fabulous day.

I have lovely reply from person who impersonated Maria Callas in Stars in your eyes , and long ago photo group , with Sir Norman Wisdom. Also show don’t Wait up For Dinner all signed programme after.and I met Stage door, Lionel Blair, Viki Michelle, Mandy Perryment, Sue Pollard, Les Dennis, asked way B/ton Taxi, all so natural. It was on Theatre Royal B/ton.

I have just read Split Down The Middle on Best Personal Site, so long, so I've written about some of my own experiences good and some terrible, and some I wouldn't print. ?
I was at Camp school when I was 10yrs old and got Polio , not uncommon in those days No one is better and we don’t need awards . Fthr Alan says to try, try again something new to all. None are better than any one else. Just TLC for someone everyday and prayers.+
I love Hove Bhasvic Market. I say I'm from St.Patricks when buying dolls, and Toys and they reduce them so much for me and I wash clean, and do hair and clothes of the toys.

I have just written a short story at 1st base centre from a picture of coloured hands.
I said its a Fete , and with all school trouble and children, joined group one said I can't do that so put him in drum group children had ideas, sponges to make . Mums then would suggest to make a Train children could decorate etc Swiss Roll its body, another one uses smarties face, and Jam biscuits for wheels. Another sponge made into clock children did hands with chocolate fingers , .and sweet for centre.

Geography was a globe and sweets popped up through Countries if correctly answered by the children they received and the sweets replaced.

Art some made cut outs of characters, and all pinned on arms and legs, etc. When they went back to school Parents held hands, and children full of what could do, to bring Peace between them all, and it worked

Also our families then used to make Butterfly sponge as others, and Wings made by Lemon and Orange slices if you put cream or jam on top the slices will stand up to form the wings. One can buy all kinds cakes now ,but to let children create anything as team much better .
Especially all the awful violent Videos, and characters some watch and have ,no good for them

Gentle Advice.
.
Always hold childrens hands, and hold onto prams , especially crossing roads, and pool disasters , never leave them. till old enough to cope.
I think there should be no cycling through the park of St.Annes well Hove, to fast children and adults, knocked over could be but some adults as well cycle through park, all cars should stop both sides once going across and when on the crossing stop both ways. experience?

The teacher is brilliant at 1st base, who takes the writing group and all kinds other groups their all kinds of people there, lovely be accepted, and see achieved by all amazing.
. United Press good but pay all time, for my very 1st poem and to put on the web can't afford. Keep paying co.,

Robert Jarvis professional Composer told me of googlemail and hubby set up, only since Easter, 2OO7 I'm trying to manage but to long on the computer , headache, if it goes wrong, thanks to hubby younger than me, puts the images on and corrects me?
But woudn't nominate me I did it myself, so amazed to see accepted on googlemail ? 18 on Personal web entries. including mine. Argus Awards googlemail section , including mine if it should win a prize at all for St.Patricks church Hove any money of any kind. Lorica St.Patricks.

Gentle Advice.

I have seen children as young as 2/3 years on a bungee trampoline at Brighton Pier zoomed up about 3Oft, and then in cafe fed chips and sauce on top, expect their insides feel sick, let alone want to eat.
At the Hove Park children only aged about 3/4 years are left unattended in a fair ride car with no supervision. It goes uphill through a tunnel and back down.

Parents watch and their child looks happy but if the child fell out they blame the people running it. Children never know please , and thank you if not taught it, and whats right and wrong, better have safety than it be too late, if saying a dog is for life so is a precious child, until it's able to cope with anything.
Maybe I'm old fashioned. Once I let her go next door very young to shop didn't come back gone all round road with a little boy lifting and looking at cable flaps unsupervised when toddler. Experience when also when she was a teenager, then she went off into foggy mist, hubby at work, all over few wrong words, and boy in those days, that I wish it never happened. I did find her thank goodness by phoning around?
So we have to listen to them at all stages of lives, and encourage them, and be there for them. Like Fthr Alan Sharpe does for The Homeless.St.Patricks.

I would like to see abortions not done , because the moment conceived it is a life, unless medically told cannot have.
All people for any kind of Surgical shoes, wheelchairs should all be free, and T.V. and telephone bills , free. elderly have worked so hard for this world. We couln't spell read in our days, but children have so much more help now. If want learn. and parents help. may be. our's didn't. Children etc have to learn so much some naturally quicker or slower.

PRECIOUS THINGS

OH ROLLING RIVER THAT FLOWS INTO STREAMS
AND SHOOTING STARS TO DREAM
THE RAIN BEATING DOWN ON THE WINDOW PANE
SHALL I STAY IN OR GO OUT AGAIN

YES GET UP AND GO ABOUT
AND SEE THE TREES WAVE IN AND OUT
TAKE ONES HAND WHEN THEY ARE LOW
OR HELP SOMEONE ACROSS THE ROAD

LAUGH AT THE CHILD CHATTERING GOING ALONG
AND FILL YOU HEART WITH A SONG

SIT AND SAY A PRAYER FOR ONE IN NEED
OR MAYBE SHARE A CUP OF TEA
TO BREATHE THE AIR IN FROM THE SEA

AND HOTELS WITH FLOWERS WAFT IN THE BREEZE
THE HOOT OF THE TRAINS, AND A BELL TOLLS
OR JUST GO FOR A STROLL

Shaggy "Fiction."

My name is shaggy the dog,
my owner's name is Maggie,
She has left me all alone ,
while she goes to the phone
-
I have bright blue eyes and a little moustache
My collar is a bit rough.
-
My coat is all fluffy,
Ive had a bath and hair dried
I ran in puddles.
-
She screamed and cried.
-
I'm told to do this and that
All I want is to sit on her lap
I got up and got the toilet roll
and pulled it all along the hall
-
Put my face in a bowl of custard
And she's filled my bones with mustard,
She's got this fluffy cat , Iv'e had a go at that

RELAXING PLACES

There's a piano standing still and red velvet curtains hang to the floor, a marble black clock with gold and silver cupids on. A women comes in dressed in a flamenco dress, and sits at the piano and Veronica plays an opera number. I can feel myself warm and sinking into the chair. I stretch out my arm and my feet and want to stand up to dance. The striking of the clock spoiling the atmosphere.
Someone from a group comes in dressed in red and gold women and men in their tuxedos and and white waistcoats, knee boots, breeches and tassle hanging down, as a cumberband, they start dancing around and I can hardly see pianists, also they are smoking pipes those not in the dance, The smell is wafting in the air circling around gorgeous fish tank with a cat fish in. and goldfish in. A mans come from the corner room from behind a curtain carrying a tambourine, children coming in chatting told to be quiet. Its the quiet room. But my friend arrives cracking his fingers to music as he is showing me new music he liked as a child, he coughs and sneezes and the silence is broken, and the quietness and silence is broken.

Rug-making, Tapestry etc;

When you can't afford a metal rug frame , use a clothes horse and clip on large pegs either side of work. As it gets longer move article down as work is done on it, replace the pegs on each end to hold in position again to finish. Always sit in the light by the window and use the right height of chair to be comfortable.Be careful not to knock the clothes horse over.

BRUNSWICK FESTIVAL (TRUE)

SPLOT BROTHERS COMEDY DANCE ACT
STREET ELDERLY I WAS IN

SOME OF US WENT ONTO BRUNSWICK LAWNS
I SAT AND WATCHED THEM ACT IN THE SILENT FILMS
AND WATCHED OTHERS JAZZ,AND DANCE PERFORM

BUT WAS ASKED UP ON THE STAGE
WITH ANOTHER PERSON ON A CHAIR THE OTHER SIDE,
WE WERE GIVEN A DRINK AND A MENU CHOICE
ROPE AND TRIFLE

SUNGLASSES PUT ON BLACK,WHITE WITH CIRCLES
AND SUN HAT AND GARLAND OF FLOWERS
AROUND MY NECK AND A MIRROR TO LOOK
THEN THE SPLOT BROTHERS GAVE US A DRINK
AND THE GLASS FULL
AND STOOPED DOWN AND SLURPED IT UP

HE SWUNG THE GLASSES UP AND DOWN
BUT NOTHING CAME OUT
A RAIN HAT PUT ON MY HEAD

ONE OF THE BROTHERS HAD ROPE UP HIS LEG
WE BOTH HAD TO PULL HARDER AND HARDER

AND THEN HE PUT HIS RIGHT LEG BENT
AND OUT CAME A PAIR OF PANTS
AND SO I ACTED LIKE THE SILENT FILMS AGO
AND MOVED MY HANDS LIKE A HAWAIAN GIRL
THOUGHT LET PEOPLE HAVE A THRILL
BUT LITTLE DID I KNOW WHEN WE HAD TO STAND UP
THE WIND DID BLOW
I HAD A FULL SKIRT ON WITH NO SLIP
OH DEAR THE WIND BLOWING IT ABOVE MY HIPS

THEN WE HAD TO STAND UP WITH TOMMY COOPERS HATS
STEP ON THIS FOOT AND THAT
WE DID A LITTLE JUMP IN THE AIR
OUR HANDS WERE PUT BEHIND OUR BACKS
OH DEAR WHAT NEXT
TOLD TO PUT OUR HANDS IN THE AIR
AND ROUND IN CIRCLES WE HAD TO GO
SO OF COURSE WHILE THE ORGAN PLAYED ZORBA THE GREEK DANCE THEN INTO LINE AND HAD TO BOW TO THE CROWD.EXHAUSTED

Relaxation

Go into lines ,massage each others shoulders lightly, turn, and reverse the roll.At work or home wherever or whatever you do, pair up when you have a spare ten minutes ,perhaps during your lunch break, and release the stress and tension . One person sits down in silence whilst the other places their hands on your shoulders and applies gentle massage. Feather the forehead by placing your fingers on either side of the centre of the forehead too, gently stroking back to the ears releasing tension. Empty the mind and breathe in and out slowly with closed eyes. Imagine a fountain with water running etc; butterflies, fish and sun, and relax and sink in the chair from head, shoulders, bottom , hips and legs. Then reverse rolls . It's great therapy . The playing of soft tranquil music during the therapy also helps. After a few minutes return to whatever you were doing totally refreshed.

The World

We must love one another and give of ourselves
To help each other.
For stillness peace and love to pray
Your pain may cease and go away

To hold someones hand,or sit by their bed,
A listening ear to what's been said
A baby's smile, someone passing by
-
The cat rolling over with the green eyes
Some may give you this and that
but really like to chat.

What Is Love

Love is a word not always shown
It can make your head spin
And your heart sing
-
Thinking not of the world as it really is,
By two people acting like children
Two lovers looking into each others eyes
Whispering fantasies and breathing sighs
-
The world seems a better place
Realising beautiful colours,
Making up the human race
Of little birds singing and flying away
And everything getting ready for a new day
-
Then to reality we all must sometimes come
Two people separated, where once love began
-
This world with all it's toil and bustle
Bringing us tears and trouble
When everything is asleep at night
And all things are still and quiet.
-
Love the peace of a dove
Is the most wonderful thing called love.

THE FANTASIA PARADE (TRUE) BRIGHTON PRIDE

I was due to meet my my friend the other year at Brighton pride. It was very hot day, and I had bought lovely pink jumper and had a white parasol with me our wonderful daughter had bought me I caught up with the procession going along the told to get back as heavy transport in procession all children and adults move back. I moved nearer, all looking up at open window why?

There was grey hair lady waving out the window, made me think of my dear Mum in a special Nursing Home if there, would been dancing and singing too. People were jostled along laughing and singing .I thought can I go through the park with my parasol up, so I did just that, up came a man Advert for Pride wanted photo of friend and I. We moved and another person asked to do photo. Couldn’t believe it. We never did find photos taken. Sun was beating down as we moved from tents two girls called us Discos never went in. it had been a great day the Nursing home always said ring and let me know as Mum not long to live at time.
As was matter of time, Haywards Heath. I was sun burnt through the pattern holes and neck line of jumper, about 3am. Phone calI hubby answered it wrong number he said half asleep. I dialled number engaged then Nursing Home both engaged Phoned back relation, could I say has Mummy died what if I’m wrong they said I’m afraid so. Gutted but in a way she had been with my friend and me all day. Spiritually talking of her. I couldn’t sing for a while reminded me of her, songs like I’ll See You Again. Elvis, Pavorotti. Dusty Springfield She just loved all, and enjoyed freedom of her later life, and was a very kind and loving trusting Mum, and loved all and the young. Particularly Brighton Pier Horatio's Karaoke bar. She always wore red; they loved her.xx

EGYPT FICTION

I arrived at the airport after very hectic flight, air combustion which had thrown packages and parcels about, people crying and hanging onto pulleys. Clothes hanging up torn and buttons ripped off. Trays and food scattered on the floor everywhere. Toilet rolls unwinding Pilots shaking in the control room, turbulence they said.
Finally the plane touched down safely. Into a sand storm blowing my purple hat of down the run way. Taxi pulled up tyre had burst not getting that one I thought , So I went into café and freshened up later on.

My shoes full of sand, hair style had gone to piece My red Lipstick was squashed..
in cosmetic bag. Friend was due to meet me eventually came umbrella blown inside out. We went into Hotel had a cocktail pink frothy mixture plus cherries topped cream . Down in one we said bolster us up. Then we tottered out me in my high yellow heeled shoes, and Kilt, plus Lemon blouse, My friend she was once wearing her hair up not any more looked if she’d come through hedge backwards expression pinned it with clips quickly .She was wearing jumper with big round collar but sand got all in it.

We wanted a Pet shop and found one Sally bought me a pink poodle cheer me up and I got her a Parrot she always wanted, he had large beak big brown eyes, and gorgeous golden and green feathers, talking saying “hello my sweet” We stayed in Hotel about week longing get on flight home at week end., so we packed and left Taxi was booked pick us up take us to Airport.
The pets safely in their cages and put in the boot of the taxi, clock was ticking over £30 already. We got in sat down in taxi , but the noise of the plane engine had upset the Parrot it was saying

"shut up be quiet” . We boarded plane and belted seat belts up got our pens out to send of post cards delayed oh can’t be bothered, just said terrible flight. Then a sand storm, Sally bought pets , this is near we stayed picture of a sphinx. See you soon. Love and hugs, you know who.

Imagination

Im a seagull .I've eaten so many worms and bits and breadcrumbs I've got a job to take off up into the clouds.I stop on a thatched roof ,little birds hanging on their claws, but I'm starting to tilt. I fly on and a kite is quite near me, Im going to get entangled, I must try to fly around it.I can see Morris dancers banging and waving hankies. There's a top of a van with a covered statue of a dolphin.I can see chimney's black smoke coming out and ah ,a chimney brush.Cars parked and a bicycle tied up, a church spire, tennis court, and its starting to rain. A cafe I can see and people eating things like ice-creams. Some are carrying carrier bags ,and souvenirs, tops with cats on. Children eating candy floss,oh dear, Ive dropped on someones hat said to be lucky. Now I'm back on the roof. A huge giant plane nearly blowing me off,and a mik float, the noise is scary.can-can dancers parading on the pier in all colours.I can see a helter skelter and hear the screams, rifle ranges going pop bang, to win a toy, some have large pigs, and cows to win and a baby toy dolphin,oh dear Im very tired closing my eyes nod off. Ive found a crack in the roof ledge to perch for the night.

Mauve Sandals (a true account)

Oh the sandals I had were lovely and bright
With a lowish wedge heel just right
One could wear day or night.
But our daughter s wedding day near
I needed Mauve shoes I fear
.
I couldn't find with flat heels anywhere
Then I saw my Husband Ray
With newspapers leather paint on the table
Blending colours for the gold sandals
.
Oh my goodness youv'e ruined them I screeched
I was lost for speech
And he said I'll do two coats on each
.
But when the job was done
I couldn't remember the golden ones
.
When the outfit complete the mauve sandals
Matched everything
The dress, and jacket hat and scarf
I had to laugh
And the clever man who made it all tone
How?could I have moaned.

Oh Brighton By The Sea

With plenty of places for tea
People come from far and near
To have fun on the pier
.
The Royal Pavilion in all its splendour
Couples come and marry and remember
.
There's pubs and shops
And places to bop
Walks along the promenade
.
The sun is shining on the boats afar
A teenager playing a guitar
.
Not many people holding hands
A lonely man shuffles along the road
No hanky to blow his nose
.
The trains have just pulled in
A newspaper and kiosk near by
Grab a sandwich take a bite
Get in your car or ride a bike
.
Children buying ice-creams and toffee apples to buy
And rides and bungee jumps from so high.

Just a Dream

I'm looking at my toes in the bath
All painted I begin to laugh
A singer's yodelling away
The ref is blowing his whistle half-time
.
The cuckoo has started again
In all the winds and rain
A child is stepping on the stones in the sea,
Oh dear I've fallen asleep
Wake up'wake up my aching feet
.
The clock is striking time for tea
Will it be jam and cheese?

Silence

Silence is golden like the song
The soft shrill of early morning
To sit and breathe in and out
Without a care
The ebbing of the wash of the tide
As one walks along the shore
Of people not thinking but love more
When bereavement comes and sadness there
One can only sit and stare
A walk through the park
And see the green trees
And children everywhere
Cats are given to sit on laps
Tapes are made to relax
Families and people argue
But peace comes from within
Sometimes pills given can juggle up and down
A headache comes, and we lay down
Sit in silence before prayers
And empty our minds and thoughts and cares
Listen to the music no talk within
But some may like to have a glass of something
Anxiety anger,noise and bustle
Can higher blood pressure
And cause other troubles
Our Priest says breathe in the good, and let out the bad
And be thankful for what you have
Silence comes from reading a book
Or to paint or learning to cook
And thank God for each new day,
But start the morning and pray

Lost But Found

Oh young man do come in
With my daughter so fair
And been wandering, in a long dress
Plus your fellow has a wig on what a mess
.
I have the cloth on Mother
Did you want me to find some other?
So youv'e been to a ball and lost your way
How lovely to see you again
.
Put your luggage in the hall
And sit down by the fire
Let's chat about your heart desires
.
It ended up they had a row
And wanted to be dressed up
Forget what it was all about now.
.
What is wealth and riches they both said
Let's have a cup of tea and biscuits
Turn out the light and go to bed.

Finger Points

Oh this mouse in the flat,no not for the cat
Point this and that, then signs and symbols to press
I cannot work it all,I must confess
One arrow goes right.and one goes left
Click on the mouse in the corner
Oh its run of the mat.
.
Commas, and dots to mention a few
It flashes and rolls and turn the page
My arms are aching and eye strain
I think I will go back to my book again

The Secret Garden."Fiction"

The snowflakes come down, melting shapes.I brush them aside.Through an arch of trees is a slippery path. At its end I find a secret garden. There are dying cabbages, pansies and snowdrops hanging their heads.I sit on a rock and see a sign saying Cumbria, reminding me of the song
'kumbiya,Someone's crying my Lord.
.
Looking up,a Red Admiral butterfly, flutters orange and black.A high wall,it's top jagged with pieces of glass, has rainbow coloured sun shining throuh the prisms.A white rabbit pricks up its ears. There's a pool with a swimming mermaid of florescent gold and flowing hair.A fountain spray perfumed nectar. A peewit twittering.A lost budgerigar.Passion flowers with purple stamens.Their smell makes me dizzy.
.
I see a fairy child with silver wings, shiny ballet shoes, spinning and turning. There's an elf in green and orange playing pan-pipes.I wonder whether I am dreaming.

Isn't Love Grand

To the perfect couple here to-day
Exchanged vows and knelt to pray
Fthr.Alan said sing out loud
we all clapped and cheered
Their hands were bound
And rings were blessed
The Bride looked lovely in her wedding dress
.
Cameras clicked here and there
The sun shone on the happy pair
All invited to the reception
The food laid on
What a treat
And the groom gave a speech
.
The wedding cake arrived
Oh! what a surprise
.
So to the couple on their big day
May they be happy and blessed in every way
And show their love in special ways
.
Sit down each and have a cup of tea
Maybe share each other problems
If difficulties arise.

"Feel-Write"

The following piece was assisted by composer Robert Jarvis for the Brighton and Hove Forum .
.
As Robert says come in
We sit and chat and learn and listen
To sounds and echoes of falling rain
And blend in many noises to try and start again
With Piano and chords and occasional bird calls
And concertina's melody note
We have a laugh and a drink
And our minds to think.
Relaxing in chairs
Traffic goes by
We don't care.
-
Our groups are made up of different people
Music is a good therapy to everyone young and old
Babies before birth respond
Songs and stories and poems told
-
But without our Robert
Where would be?
His perfect Sounds and Echoes by the sea
Where would we be...

My Dear Lorraine

I love you as my little girl
And I still have your first curl
With your winning looks and smiles
I've nursed you when ill and you've cried
-
Your growing up now,so big and tall
I hardly remember you when small
The little hands that gripped so tight
All the love when you were a tiny mite
-
You help make cakes and other things too
This is what mummy's and children should do
I scold you when you're naughty
and tell you off I fear
But I love my daughter dear

The Princess (a true account.)

With the big smile
And long black hair asleep in the chair
Awakens with her great blue eyes
Is beautiful and tries
-
I call her by her name Chelsea
As she walks to-wards me
She puts out her hand
And a sticky sweet gives
Looks up at me and I bend to her
As she wants a kiss
-
And goes back happy
To sit on her Mothers knee
Listening to the Choir sing
By Fthr Alan Sharpe, St.Patrick's

ADDICTED TO POST H.M. THE QUEEN A THANKYOU

Angel , never got any post, but one day a letter arrived from Buckingham Palace marked from H. M. The Queen, in a pink satin envelope, she was so excited but why her. Angel opened it all fingers and thumbs, jam on her fingers from break fast. Then she remembered months ago she had wriiten a song at school, and sent copy of to Music Teacher, to study, but he had sent it H.M. The Queen, which Angel didn’t expect to happen, stating what a marvellous song piece.

Angel was jumping up and down, shouting, but it was making her dog bark. Oh what should I wear, I'll have to get in touch with Mother. I could wear long dress, with high heels, but they could catch in the carpet. So she went for a track-suit, covered with butterflies, in colours of the rainbow, the name each butterfy on it.

She did her hair into a chignon, with a black velvet bow, extra care with make up, a touch of rhouge on cheeks, and flick of mascara. But went for low flat shoes, in black and red. Her Mother arranged for a Limousine., what no Mum, Im just an ordinary girl, cancel it and we can both go by train, they did. Mind you every one was staring and watching her, she looked so grown up, much older than 16. As she came out Buckingham Palace , and got back on the train, photographers every where, and it was all in papers next day, and her song piece published, she did not want all this. Now she was made for life, and realised all her hours of work worth it, and must continue.

CHILDREN

Oh the children running along
With their pretty dresses on
Mr. Whippy they all cry
The Ice-cream man Max miller
Dinging the bell and wink in his eye.

The cornets and a dob on the top, it mustn’t fall of
Children can’t reach the ledge, with Mr. wippy’s van
All on tip-toes, and outstretched hands.

FAVOURITES

I loved to sit as a child, on a parlour stool
It went round and round, I must not fall
Up comes the lovely Knicker Bocker Glory
With all its tangy mixtures, and ice-cream bubbling over the top
A long spoon, you cant get any more in..

LOVE BIRDS THE LONELY & PENNY FARTHING MAN.

The man raised his hat and said good morning, he was on a penny farthing bike, and wore black and gold florescent shoes, the ties on them lit up. No one knew why he wore this , plus a suit of deep blue, and a turned up collar with a red rose, in the button hole. His glasses had miniature windmills on in yellow, and you press a button little fan keeps it going on and of,so he didn’t get too hot. I saw him and said what’s your name, oh you talking to me, I call myself Charlie,? for fun but I’m Tony spelt Toe-knee, I said how odd why? Because cramp in my toe and knee crackled, but he also had a very red nose, do you drink, only a little he said. But he was really odd on his bike carrier he had 2 Parakeets ,blue and gold with black feathers, but they could talk a few words. “Yes he does drink they said, “who are you going to meet to-day, the Parakeets said,” Toe-Knee” loves taking us for a ride.” They were clever birds where are you from, he would not like any one knowing that or talk to any one. Oh if you must know Im not far of from you , Agency fitted him in that area. Oh no I thought . But you can”t judge a book by its cover.

One day he said if Im passing by again I will look out for you, I thought I hope not?. But before week end I had to find out where, he lived . what I visited next day, there was a rag and bone cart out-side the house . S o I stood by the wall as the door opened,, there were tin cans everywhere , suddenly in between all the rubbish a Persian cat loomed up all his fur faded. . He had found half opened tin of sardines, . You could see by his smoky blue colour he was so weak. and one bent ear I knocked and entered, whoops , Oh he said why did you have to find out where I lived
